Supporting both the Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction (SDPR) and the Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD), the Information Systems Division provides strong information management and information technology (IM/IT) resource planning, decision making, project and issues management, security and privacy functions, and desktop support. The division serves the social sector’s current and future needs.
In this position, you will deliver cost effective information technology solutions to ministry program areas, and facilitate the design, development and implementation process for technology solutions and leads project teams in the implementation, quality assurance and testing of systems.
You will also provide second level technical support by receiving, diagnosing, and resolving complex data and application issues.

Job Requirements:
In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:
- Degree, diploma in business or technology field, and *related experience as described below, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Related experience includes the following:
- Minimum 1 year of experience providing business analysis for key front-line systems with complex interactive business processes and multi-organization impacts.
- Minimum 1 year of experience providing customer support services in an information technology environment or helping end users to use and understand computer hardware and software.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in IM/IT projects, or significant components of a large IM/IT focused project.
- Preference may be given to candidates with Agile project delivery experience and/or formal Agile training and/or Agile certification such as SCRUM Master, Product Owner.
- Preference may be given to applicants who have experience providing social, family or children’s services and/or programs.
