The Opportunity

The role of the ERP Application Support Specialist to support and maintain the Microsoft AX/ D365 and other financial ERP applications and support its end-users. The Specialist will provide hands-on support, solutions, and expertise to ERP end-users across different processes such as Finance and Accounting, Sales, Procurement, and Inventory Management.

Responsibilities

  • Attains deep knowledge in ERP modules and add-ons, database structure and points of integration with other applications
  • Provides ERP application support for all users across the firm
  • Integral part of the ERP team for technical changes such as upgrades, migrations, data extracts, integrations, etc.
  • Can assist or lead organizational process improvement initiatives
  • Continually enhances the ERP user experience across the firm through communication and collaboration tools, hands-on training or knowledge sharing sessions
  • Maintains knowledge base
  • Leverages change and release management process to ensure all updates are thoroughly tested and signed-off prior to go-live
  • Ensures data integrity and security
  • Partners with vendor regarding product roadmap, enhancement suggestions and support cases
  • Manages ERP security and licenses
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent work experience required
  • Minimum four years of professional experience in business systems support or implementation projects
  • Demonstrated proficiency in D365 Finance and Operations or AX2012
  • Functional expertise in one or more of the following areas: finance and accounting, sales, procurement, inventory management
  • Experience with help desk and project management tools preferred
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office and collaboration tools
  • Proven ability to take direction and guidance, learn, understand, and apply new systems and software
  • Excellent documentation discipline
  • Experience in compiling business cases that clearly articulate problems, solution options, risks, stakeholder impacts and recommendations
  • Ability to translate business requirements into functional and technical requirements
  • Application testing, change and release management discipline
  • Experience preparing training materials and delivering training in various formats including classroom, one-on-one, and remote
  • Skilled in understanding customer needs and providing quality customer service
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills in English
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, especially a customer service-oriented attitude
  • Team player
  • Ability to multitask with strong attention to detail, organization, and time management
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines
