The Centre weaves together IBM’s business insights and industry-leading software portfolio and is ideally suited for any client that needs flexible access to emerging or niche skills that may not be cost effective to grow internally. In this role, you'll work in our IBM Client Innovation Center (CIC), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. These centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

The Software Engineer (SWE) is responsible for providing Cerner solution custom code development needed for successful implementation at a Client site. The Consulting Developer may belong to one or more departmental/functional teams and works with executive project management to coordinate activities with all other members of the departmental/functional team (s).

Responsibilities

• Tailors application custom development requests contained in the project scope to meet the unique requirements of the department and Client institution
• Custom development can include reports, documents, inquiries, work queues, application and Discern Rules
• Investigates and resolves complex application problems
• Provides application strategy and development expertise to Cerner and Client work teams
• Will be expected to be onsite as requested by client for day-to-day work, and particularly around go-live activities.
• Not expecting they will need to be onsite 100% of the time
• Hours of work will flex significantly during go-live activities with long (12+) hour days being required to provide effective support.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Expect minimum of 5 years experience as a Cerner solution custom code developer
