Job Summary and Requirements
This is an until-filled competition for multiple full-time Licensed Practical Nurse positions. Applications will be assessed on a regular basis, so candidates are encouraged not to delay submitting their application as this posting can close at any time with 24-hours posted notice.

Copper Ridge Place:
96 beds.
Extended care, complex care and special care.
Extensive assistance with activities of daily living.
24-hour monitoring and professional care.
Specialized care for seniors, adults and children.
Individualized care in a therapeutic and secure environment for clients with dementia.
Whistle Bend Place:
150 beds.
Extended care, complex care and hospice care.
Community Day Program.
Extensive assistance with activities of daily living.
24-hour monitoring and professional care.
Individualized care in a therapeutic and secure environment for clients with dementia.
Thomson Centre:
Intermediate care.
Moderate assistance with activities of daily living.
Intermittent monitoring and professional care throughout the day.
Extended care for seniors and adults.
24-hour extensive assistance with activities of daily living.
24-hour monitoring and professional care.
Home Care program:

Essential Qualifications:
Eligible for registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse
Recently applied knowledge of nursing theory, practices & techniques
Experience gained in a long term care environment would be an asset
Desired Knowledge, Skills and Suitability:
Candidates should have and may be assessed on:
Ability to provide professional care for residents by promoting their physical, emotional and spiritual well-being
Ability to provide leadership, coaching and training to members of the team
Effective oral and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent critical thinking, relationship building and conflict management skills
Ability to operate across multiple levels of care and within a transdisciplinary environment
Additional Information:
What we offer our employees
Conditions of Employment: TB screening, Vulnerable Sector RCMP security clearance, CPR Level HCP (facilities), CPR Level C (Home Care), Food Safe (completed within the last 2 years), WHIMIS 2015, and Yukon LPN registration with Medication Administration upon hire. A valid class 5 driving licence is required for Home Care.
Job Requirements: Shift work, exposure to plants and/or flowers and/or second-hand smoke when supervising residents/clients, exposure to animals, heavy lifting 50lbs and over, bending, and exposure to latex products.
