Tenure-track Appointment in Musical Theatre (Fine Arts)

The Fine Arts Program, St. Thomas University, invites applications for a tenure-track appointment at
the rank of Assistant Professor in Musical Theatre Voice, to begin July 1, 2023, pending budgetary
approval.

St. Thomas University is an undergraduate, liberal arts institution in Fredericton, New Brunswick,
Canada with a full-time enrolment of 1,900. Its students graduate with Bachelor of Arts, Applied Arts,
Education, and Social Work degrees. The faculty members are distinguished teachers, researchers and
scholars, and the university holds two Canada Research Chairs.

This position in Musical Theatre Voice requires a formally trained, outstanding singer and pedagogue
with excellent collaborative piano skills, capable of teaching and advancing the University’s voice,
musical theatre, and music curricula. Candidates for this position will be excellent teaching artists with
academic (MFA, MMus, Performance Diploma, or Conservatory degree in a relevant field at a
minimum), and active professional and/or creative performance credentials. The successful candidate
will carry out regular responsibilities as a member of the Fine Arts Program and assist in articulating
the connections between the fine arts and the broader liberal arts community.
