RCMP Assistant lll — Watch Clerk
Are you an individual that displays mature and sound judgement, excellent customer service skills, and wants to positively contribute to our local community? If so, we would like to introduce you to our full-time, permanent RCMP Assistant lll Watch Clerk role!
Reporting to the RCMP Office Manager, the RCMP Assistant lll will be responsible for assisting members with administrative duties, including: completing accurate data entry in PROS, CPIC, JOIN and E-collision; compiling court briefs in the proper format; and downloading cellblock video. This is a shift-work position following a cycle of two day shifts, two night shifts, and four days off. This position is based within the City of Wetaskiwin RCMP detachment office. The successful applicant must pass an RCMP security clearance check.

Responsibilities
- Adding, deleting, and modifying CPIC, PROS, JOIN and PAT
- PAT collision entries
- PROS IM duties
- Receive and respond to insurance/lawyer requests
- Filing
- Preparing correspondence
- Preparing court packages
- Communicating with other detachment and partner agencies
- Communicating via radio with members
- Downloading cellblock video
- Other administrative duties as required
Education and Experience
- Certificate or diploma in office management preferred or completion of Grade 12 and a combination of work experience
- Must be able to maintain a RCMP Enhanced Reliability Security Clearance
- A minimum of three (3) years of responsible office administration experience
- Experience working in an RCMP Detachment considered an asset
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Demonstrated ability to work in a stressful environment under minimal supervision
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with coworkers, members, and supervisors
- Experience using PROS, CPIC, and JOIN
- Ability to work shift-work
- High degree of accuracy and an eye for detail when preparing documents
- Ability to handle sensitive information while maintaining confidentiality
