Social Worker III- Mental Health and Addictions
Remote Work Position

The Provincial Coordinator will provide leadership and direction to ensure individuals and families in all regions of the province have access to group interventions, which may include wellness webinars, psychoeducational, skills groups and therapy/process groups. Groups may be delivered to individuals and families in a variety of settings, such as at home, inpatient and outpatient settings, and correctional facilities.

This is one of two provincial positions. This position carries a broad organizational scope since the incumbent will work with clinical, administration, technical, and management personnel for the purposes of consultation, direction, information exchange, and problem resolution. The incumbent will be expected to report to Manager of Mental Health and Addictions and report/liaise closely with the Provincial Mental Health and Addictions Division.

DUTIES: The coordinator positions will provide leadership, coordination and hands-on facilitation in the development, delivery, and evaluation of group interventions on a provincial basis, including but not limited to:
" Consult with all regions to develop a coordinated approach of offering virtual and hybrid in-person/online group interventions on a provincial basis;
" Identify needs and gaps in available group interventions;
" Facilitate or co-facilitate groups access all regions;
" Provide clinical leadership, oversight and coordination of the groups offered, including the referral and registration processes, and documentation;
" Oversee the program planning and evaluation;
" Liaison with regional and provincial information management (IM), information technology (IT), Client Registry Management System (CRMS), Meditech and telehealth staff to support client registration, wait list management, and documentation across regions; and
" Perform other related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation with a Clinical or Integrated Master's degree in Social Worker from an accredited program. Current and continuing registration with the Newfoundland and Labrador College of Social Workers (NLCSW) is required. A minimum of 5 years' experience within the last 7 working as a Social Worker in a Mental Health and Addictions program is required. Experience with the development and facilitation of Mental Health and Addictions group programming is required. Experience with virtual groups would be an asset. Significant Knowledge of evidence based mental health, addictions, concurrent disorders, trauma and associated treatment and delivery systems. Demonstrated strong clinical leadership skills, ability to direct, supervise and mentor students. Exhibited strong program development and evaluation skills. Demonstrated proven analytical, critical thinking, problem solving, decision-making and organizational and research skills. Exhibited strong written and oral communication skills as well as the ability to deliver/facilitate effective presentations. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. *A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required

**Travel within the region may be required. Use of a private vehicle is a condition of employment.

  • A valid Drivers' License is required.

Hours of Work: 75 Hours per pay period
0830 - 1630 hours; Evenings required
Flexible hours required
