New Job Senior Wireless Network Architect In Nova Scotia

We are currently seeking a Senior Wireless Network Architect with focus on radio access network (RAN) to join our wireless team. The primary responsibility of the position will be to develop, implement, and lead effective technical solutions for next generation wireless services and engineering teams. With solid experience within the Radio Access Network / Network Core / Small Cell / DAS, Cloud RAN, this position is a mix of hands-on skills (plan and architect) and management that will work collaboratively with multiple business units and levels across the organization. The Senior Wireless Network Architect will also develop the value proposition, customer/partner strategy, marketing materials, and product documentation for new proposals and wireless solutions and services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support Sales team with technical responses to RFPs, RFQs, and/or RFIs
• Develop end to end wireless solutions proposals to various client segments
• Provide superior level of pre-sales technical support for RF Engineering planning and design for 4G / 5G, small cells and in building design
• Manage proof of concept lab and commercial trials.
• Supporting the customers RF RAN system design, site layout/design and antenna configuration details
• Liaise with internal and external customers to collaborate on solution development, design implementation, technology assessments, strategy presentations, pricing/cost structures
• Develop and support financial analyses and business case of different Solution options and proposals
• Mentor, develop, and coach junior staff
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned

Skills / Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree required. Advanced degree and / or MBA preferred
• Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in wireless telecommunications engineering, design, and development, with an emphasis on selling into various markets.
• Strong technical skills in 5G / LTE / Cloud RAN / Open RAN / IoT / Private networks and wireless technologies and understanding of small cell landscape including vendors/products/key attributes
• Must have excellent communications skills: writing proposals, developing slides and delivering presentation
• Must have experience with RF Propagation modeling tools such as ATOLL/PLANET and KPI analysis/monitoring
• Very conversant with the latest market trends and can engage in analyzing performance, challenges, and success of new standards or applications.
• Solid understanding of operator RAN, core and IT networks including IT/OSS integration requirements for commercial rollout of small cell service
• Highly proficient listener & consultative sales style with the ability to shape customer thinking
• Excellent MS Excel skills and data analysis tools and automation
• Strong account relationship skills, creative, driven & self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and with a team
• Skilled negotiator including the ability to take direction or resolve issues independently
