Position Overview

The Police Administration Department requires a regular full time and several auxiliary PRIME Reviewers, in the Records Section at the RCMP Detachment.

Responsibilities
Reporting to the Records Supervisor, you will be responsible for maintaining police files and databases by:
  • Classifying and scoring (coding) information on police files, verifying validity and completeness of codes already entered
  • Entering and amending information in relevant databases
  • Maintaining departmental records
  • Reading new police files to determine appropriate processing
  • Distributing mail and preparing outgoing mail.

Requirements
Your net typing speed is 50 words per minute, you are willing to work shifts consisting of up to 11 hours in length, and you have data entry experience. Some related experience, preferably within a law enforcement environment, would be an asset.

Compensation
$26.34 to $30.94 per hour
(Pay Grade 15 – January 2021 rates)

Hours of Work
Auxiliary – hours will vary
Shift work (4 shifts followed by 4 days off) including evenings, weekends and statutory holidays

Additional Information
You will be required to obtain and maintain an RCMP security clearance as a condition of ongoing employment.
Shortlisted candidates may be required to complete standardized tests or exercises to demonstrate their applicable skills and knowledge.
