New Job Meter Technician 1 In New Brunswick

Under the direction of the Water Metering Foreman, Water and Sewer Division - Engineering and Operations Department, the incumbent will join a team that performs work on the City of Fredericton water and sewer systems, which can be physically strenuous in nature, and involve the use of hand tools and/or manually operated equipment. The incumbent will perform work of a technical nature involving the installation of water metering equipment, maintenance of the City's Cross Connection Control (CCC) program and liase with the plumbing community to ensure City standards and specifications are met. The incumbent will work independently, show initiative, and exercise tact, judgment, and discretion.
Assignments will require the operation of light vehicles. The incumbent may also work under supervision and receive daily instruction.
