Embedded within CTC’s Brand and Customer department and reporting into the Manager, ESG Strategy & Integration, the Consultant, ESG Strategy & Integration will support the development and rollout of CTC’s ESG strategy across our family of companies through the creation, execution and tracking of programs that instill shared value for the organization.

What you’ll do
- Support our internal ESG “Centre of Excellence” by conducting research into ESG-related issues, including summary and analysis of external ESG developments, peer actions, industry best practices and trends, etc.
- Based on research, provide recommendations to internal business groups on future actions and areas of focus, supporting the development and implementation of ESG strategies within the organization
- Lead development and execution of key employee-focused initiatives such as ESG training, virtual events and internal publications
- Develop communications and marketing materials to promote the ESG strategy’s progress and efforts
- Lead measurement activities and analysis to determine the success of initiatives related to the ESG strategy and recommend opportunities for future initiatives
- Provide support to leadership team as required, including ESG research, consultative initiatives, Board reporting, presentation support, etc.
- Provide ad hoc support to the ESG cross-functional team as required, including research, communications and visual presentation support
What you bring
- Degree or diploma preferably in Sustainability, Business, Communications or a related discipline
- 3-5 years of experience in the sustainability/ESG/CSR space, in either a public, private or nonprofit setting
- Wide breadth of generalist knowledge and expertise in ESG
- Passion for ESG and social issues, and a belief in the importance of corporate actions to drive positive change
- A natural curiosity and love of learning
- Demonstrated maturity, professionalism and strong executive presence
- Exceptional communication and writing skills, including experience writing for and presenting to senior leaders
- Proactive and detailed oriented; comfortable with ambiguity and change
- Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to synthesize complex ideas and distill into cohesive, digestible summaries
- Ability to establish rapport with others and build effective working relationships
- Proficiency with Microsoft suite of products, particularly Word and PowerPoint
