Your Career as a Campus Recruiter:

You’ll be reporting to the Campus Recruitment Team Manager and be responsible for managing end-to-end campus talent acquisition, including; building, executing, and developing on campus strategy. Yes, you’ll be helping create and delivering presentations on and off-campus, building and maintaining a pipeline of suitable candidates and responsible for the relationship management of all Quebec Universities & Colleges.

We believe in relationships so we want someone that loves people, is very competitive and driven and who wants to win. And you need to be innovative… extremely innovative. This position will be looking at building and developing strong relationships across Quebec, you will feel like you’re in a long-term commitment! If you think our style of campus recruitment is posting jobs and screening resumes you couldn’t be more wrong. It is a busy job with lots of travel to campuses all over Quebec,

If you want tremendous exposure to leadership, a job that is never routine or boring, travel opportunities, an amazing hyper-friendly and creative team to work with every day then we want you. If you have a passion for developing young talent, building out strategies and hungry to make an impact then this is the place for you.

Qualifications/ Requirements:

For this role, we believe in hiring people for our team based on skills and talent, over experience. Experience helps a lot and someone with a year or so of campus recruitment or program management experience will have less of a learning curve, but we also can teach you a lot ourselves (again, we’re a close-knit group). You will want to be someone who can manage a lot at once and manage many people/relationships at once. You need to be creative and enthusiastic with a friendly and positive outlook. Organization is a key to success as is creativity and self-motivation. And we’ll throw in “stress-management” for those crunch periods where we all have to bare down.

Education:

A University Degree or Post-Graduate Degree in a field relating to Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or Commerce is preferred, though not required.

This role will require a moderate degree of travel (by car, rail and plane) within Canada to various Universities, as well as the potential for travel to internationally on occasion. Seasonally, this travel can become considerable. As well, due to the timing of on and off-campus events, this role is not "9 to 5" and will require work during evenings and weekends at times. Scotiabank is committed to being a flexible workplace and our team works hard together to make sure of it!

Scotiabank is committed to providing an inclusive and accessible candidate experience. Only those candidates selected for an interview will be contacted. If you require accommodation during the recruitment and selection process, please let us know. We will work with you to meet your needs. Thank you for your interest.

Application Process:

We believe evaluating you through relationships over resumes, and we are focused on learning about who you are and what you’re interested in to uncover your true potential. In short, we don’t believe resumes will provide us with an accurate depiction of what you’re truly about in order to properly assess your potential. Instead, we want to get to know YOU and hear about your experiences that have shaped you. We know… this might sound crazy but we do not want you to submit your resume. Instead, we ask that as part of your application, you complete the steps below:

1) Complete your PLUM Profile here: https://bit.ly/2XQY6qs

2) Complete a very short one-way video interview by clicking here: https://ca.rivs.com/01-86-79/

3) Apply to the role through our career site! When the application asks for your resume, please attach a screenshot of your PLUM. We have full access to your entire profile from PLUM, but this is a great reminder to complete it.

Note: You do not need to complete your PLUM profile or video interview multiple times if you are applying to multiple positions. Also, we have full access to your entire profile from Plum and won’t use the screenshot but it’s a great reminder for each of you to have completed it.

We thank you all for your interest in Scotiabank! However, only those selected for an interview will be contacted. If you require accommodation during the recruitment and selection process, please let us know. We will work with you to meet your needs.
