The Ministry of SaskBuilds and Procurement, Property Management South is seeking for a Maintenance Manager with maintenance management experience located at the Regina Provincial Correctional Centre. As a member of a service oriented team, you will responsible to provide customer comfort and service by ensuring a safe environmental to SaskBuilds and Procurement's customers/clients.
You will respond to client inquiries and ensure facilities and equipment are safe and in good operating readiness. You will also perform routine building maintenance; operate/maintain manual and powered grounds equipment; climb ladders, lift and or carry heavy objects. You will be responsible for security procedures and equipment and ensure facility and equipment is safe and meets operating standards. You will be responsible for supervision of other Accommodation Services' maintenance staff in the building.
This position is responsible for:
  • the overall physical maintenance of the Regina Provincial Correctional Centre;
  • planning, supervising and controlling of all service functions as they relate to equipment, security systems of the main centre;
  • providing responsible leadership for the staffing, supervision and management of staff and other resources for all maintenance services and projects;
  • administering and managing all projects and special projects from design phase and cost benefit analysis from implementation to evaluation;
  • providing support and advice to the Director of the Centre and SaskBuilds and Procurement management team on impacts of maintenance issues on budget, security and programs;
  • providing advice and direction to on-call staff handling emergencies;
  • preventive maintenance of CPSP program equipment for kitchen equipment, security cameras, security lighting, fences;
  • managing boiler room operations so that all codes and safety regulations are followed;
  • maintain Archibus maintenance computer system regarding all electrical upgrades, changes and enhancements and;
  • provide leadership and management to staff in establishing work routines and standard Centre objectives.
To qualify for this position candidate will hold a 4 year Saskatchewan Journeyman ticket or proven extensive experience in a Supervisory Role in a correctional facility regarding the operations within this type of facility, troubleshooting of Security Cameras, Cell Locking Mechanisms, and a 5th Class Power Engineering Certificate.
