Role

Are you a highly organized individual who can provide a broad spectrum of support in the areas of coordination, design and delivery of learning and development on behalf of Children’s Services:

The Regulatory Compliance, Quality Assurance, and Business Supports division is seeking Learning and Development Coordinator for ongoing support for training delivery in Children’s Services. The position entails direct day to day support in the creation of learning development content for face to face and virtual training formats with direction from learning and development consultants and managers. Additionally, the position provides daily “just in time” moderator and technical support required for live streaming webinar training events for frontline delivery staff and caregivers. Included in the position is the direct responsibility for daily maintenance and application of two learning management systems.

The Learning and Development Coordinator also assists in the creation of learning and development resources, scheduling and delivery, generating reports from various platforms and provides production support for virtual training delivery related to delegation and caregiver webinar based training sessions while reporting to the management.

As part of a team this position is responsible for the following activities:

  • Ongoing support and functional management of the Ministry’s two learning management systems that support Child Intervention staff and caregiver training ( approximately 7500 users)
  • Supporting the design and development of training modules and events through coordination with Learning and Development Consultants, ensuring compliance with GOA and accreditation standards.
  • Oversee projects under the direct supervision and guidance of Senior Learning and Development Consultants.
  • Work collaboratively with cross ministry, internal business and program areas partners to facilitate communication, stakeholder meetings and working groups.
  • Support delivery of training, including technical support for blended learning requirements.
  • Facilitate the completion of annual reports on training delivered by Workforce Development

Qualifications

University graduation in a related field; experience working with teams, projects, coordination, as well as competent with computer and technical skills.

Equivalency: Directly related education or experience considered on the basis of:

  • 1 year of education for 1 year of experience; or
  • 1 year of experience for 1 year of education.


Must haves:

  • Proficient computer skills using various software applications, including Microsoft Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Research skills (Qualitative research methodology and Quantitative research methodology)
  • Strong writing and editing skills.
  • Ability to work independently


Assets:

  • Knowledge of Ministry programs and services
  • Experience or knowledge relevant to learning and development and instructional design.

Salary

$2,281.95 - $2,993.39 bi-weekly: ($59,558.90 to $78,127.48 / year)
