A position is available for a professional individual to complement our technical staff and become an active member of our Professional Services team as an IT Consultant.

In this role you will be responsible for day-to-day IT Service Desk duties and participate in client-based projects that deliver best of breed solutions to new and existing customers.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all MicroAge clients are provided with a top-notch experience.
• Keep accurate and timely records of all time spent working on customer solutions or issues.
• Install and configure a wide variety of software and hardware systems and troubleshoot problems.
• Mentor, and support clients on the use of PC’s, Servers and Cloud based technologies.
• Consult with clients around the planning, implementation, and administration of new and existing IT solutions.
• Continuous enhancement of your own knowledge of current and new hardware and software technologies.
• Maintain awareness of current industry security standards.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma from recognized technical college in Information technology or the equivalent combination of education, technical designations, and work experience.
• Industry certification in Office365, VMware, Cisco etc. Would be considered a definite asset.
• A+ certification would be considered a definite asset.
• Experience working with Cloud providers such as Azure, AWS, and Sherweb.
• Demonstrated ability to provide technical support for PC hardware and software, servers, networks, mobile devices, and Cloud based applications.
• Experience with Cisco Meraki.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a client facing computer support role.
• Valid driver's License
• Experience with Solarwinds N-Able. Would be considered a definite asset.
• Ability to multi-task to complete projects on a timely basis with minimal supervision.
• Ability to think critically and use an analytical approach to resolve problems.
• Effective communication skills both written and oral.
• Ability to interact directly with business users at all levels including executive.
• Strong understanding of common business software applications and networking technology.

Salary: $40,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
