If this sounds exciting, then we have the opportunity for you. The Ministry of Social Services’ Income Assistance Division is hiring for two full-time Program Design & Policy Consultants in the Program Design and Operational Policy Unit, based out of Regina.

As a Consultant, Program Design & Policy, your will:
- Inform and develop policy, programs and process through:
- analyzing complex issues, environmental and demographic data, trends, and risks;
- gathering the input of stakeholder groups; and
- conducting policy research, assessing findings, drafting options, and making recommendations to meet ministry goals and stakeholder needs.
- Communicate these recommendations to decision makers by drafting policy documents, reports, correspondence, cabinet documents, briefing materials and presentations to stakeholders;
- Build and elevate stakeholder relationships both internal and external to the ministry, including presenting on key initiatives and options;
- Respond to inquiries from other ministries, provinces and territories, and the public regarding programs and policies;
- Develop and contribute to evaluation frameworks, strategic plans, and accountability measures; and
- Represent the ministry at various committees and tables though providing policy advice and coordinating on an array of ministerial and inter-ministerial initiatives.

- The ability to lead and develop programs, monitor progress and report on outcomes;
- The ability to complete multiple projects on time while balancing quality of work, competing priorities and responsibilities; and
- Presentation and facilitation skills to provide information to a variety of audiences.
Typically, the knowledge and skills required for a Consultant, Program Design & Policy are obtained through a degree in public administration, public policy, business administration, or a related discipline, or a combination of education with relevant work experience. However, the ministry understands that people can develop skills through a variety of learning environments and situations and is open to considering all candidates who can clearly demonstrate how their learning and experience meets our criteria.
