The Crown Agencies Secretariat (CAS) is a new central agency of the B.C. government. The primary role of the CAS is to work with certain Crowns – their boards and staff – as well as responsible ministries, to provide financial and policy oversight on all matters pertaining to the Crown sector, supporting government to deliver on its priorities.

This position works with certain crown agencies, ministries and CAS staff to coordinate the development of written responses to ministerial correspondence for the signature of the Minister, Deputy Minister or other senior executives of the ministry. This includes assigning, reviewing and editing responses to correspondence requests; and moving responses through the appropriate approval routes to meet established deadlines. The position is also responsible for tracking and reporting on all correspondence items.

Job Requirements:
In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:

  • Secondary school graduation or equivalent.
  • Education and/or training in journalism, writing or a communications-related field.
  • Experience working in a communications-related field.
  • Experience coordinating and managing projects.


Preference may be given to applicants with:

  • Experience using the CLIFF tracking system.
  • Experience using the eApprovals tracking system.
  • Experience in records management and general government policies and procedures.
