In additional to the two projects outlined above, you will also work with the other educators at the NREC to develop social media posts to promote our programs, initiatives and bring awareness to various natural resource related events and issues. You will also work with department staff to help organize and deliver a wide variety of outreach and education programs such as the 2022 Youth Hunting Camp (hunting, fishing and outdoor skills camp for youth) and if public protocols permit, attend various public event that engage with a wide variety of audiences (youth, interest groups, organizations and the general public).

The NREC in Middle Musquodoboit has a 120-acre managed woodlot and 3km of hiking trails where you will assist with maintenance and upkeep (including mowing, whipper snipping, trail and facilities maintenance).
