The Student and Educator Services Unit, Information Management and Support Branch of the Ministry of Education has an exciting and challenging opportunity for an individual committed to client service and continuous improvement. This fast-paced, high-volume unit is responsible for administering policies related to credit requirements for secondary level completion, maintenance of a central registry of student and educator information and transcript production.

As a Student Services Field Consultant you will work with a team to oversee the PreKindergarten to Grade 12 (PreK-12) student related business processes during planning and implementation of the provincial student information system for First Nations and Independent schools. You will lead, develop and deliver provincial application training and support to First Nations and Independent schools system users. You will support in the development of provincial and sector change management and communication plans for First Nations and Independent schools.

Our candidate of choice will have several years’ experience as a teacher or administrator in a First Nations school or education authority. You will be innovative and have excellent problem solving and analytical skills, as well as superior communication skills to relay complex issues clearly and credibly. You will be able to work independently as well as on a variety of teams. The knowledge required for this position is typically obtained through a post-secondary degree in education, computer science or several years’ experience in PreK-12. Knowledge of the PreK-12 education system in Saskatchewan and French as an additional language, would be an asset.
