Job Description

Responsible for developing overall Government sales strategy and execution efforts for Federal and Provincial Government customers. Develops, plans, implements, and executes sales strategies to meet business objectives and achieve maximum results. Continually evaluates the timely adjustment of sales plans to meet changing competitive conditions. Direct and coordinate the efforts of Account Executives toward the accomplishment of corporate objectives. Accountable for managing revenue and growing the Government business through net new logos and share of wallet with Federal and Provincial Government agencies.


The successful candidate will

  • Aggressively pursues and achieves a minimum of 100% of assigned revenue quota (annually and quarterly) through sales of company solutions
  • Achievement of various numeric objectives (CI, RPS, Quarterly objectives.)
  • Recruit, motivate and develop top quality Account Executives
  • Develop customer-centric solutions that promote customer and employee loyalty while maintaining acceptable profit margins
  • Hands-on relationship with the top government customers
  • Builds ongoing strong relationships with executive suite customers
  • Manage the target account process and assist Account Executives in closing business
  • Instill a sense of competition and urgency in the Account Executive's while creating a team environment
  • Ensure accountability and recognize the contributions of all staff leading towards the development of stronger business partnerships with all National Accounts


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree, majoring in Sales, Marketing, or business-related field or equivalent
  • Minimum 2-5 years of progressive sales experience with Federal and Provincial government
  • Excellent planning, organizational, analytical, leadership, and oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain trusting customer relationships
  • Must be self-motivated, proactive, and have a high-energetic approach to problem solving
  • Strong supply chain specialist knowledge
  • Experience in developing plans and strategies to drive results and inspire teams giving a sense of pride and purpose
  • Ability to build strong relationships Federal and Provincial Government agencies
  • Exemplifies and consistently demonstrates our core competencies of communication, innovation, change management, relationship building and leadership University degree
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong communication and negotiations skills and ability to work with C-Suite executive level contacts
  • Ability to build strong relationships with Customers, Strategic Account Executives, Sales Leadership, Vendors, internal Stakeholder and possibly Board level
  • Represents the voice of customers which may influence board level strategy
  • Ability to develop high level PowerPoint Presentations and contributing to strategic client meetings up to the CEO level; advanced presentation skills are required
  • Demonstrated personal development commitment
  • Ability to work under stressful situations and adapt to rapidly changing circumstances
  • Able to prioritize and manage multiple activities
  • Hub/ Depot/Supply Chain Operations knowledge and experience
