New Job Youth Coding Trainer In Newfoundland And Labrador

YOUTH CODING NINJA

The Community Sector Council Newfoundland & Labrador is looking for an energetic individual to join our team as a Youth Coding Ninja to launch Coder Dojo NL. Coder Dojo is an Ireland-based nonprofit with over 200 developed coding classes.

Essential Skills

• You are a highly motivated individual who believes coding is an important skill for young people to learn n
• Comfortable working with both youth participants and adult volunteers
• Good digital literacy skills, but you do not need to be an expert coder

Key Responsibilities

• Network with partners to host regular Coder Dojo classes at their locations
• Recruit volunteers to lead our Coder Dojo classes
• Attract young people (ages 12 – 19) to learn coding skills in our classes

Qualifications

• Multitasker who works well independently as well as part of a team
• Education in any of the following disciplines: Computer Science/Technology, Education, Business Administration, Arts, or any combination of education and experience
• Willing to work flexible hours; evenings and weekends
• Possession of a valid Drivers License and access to a vehicle

This is a full-time temporary position starting immediately. Contract end date will be March 31, 2022.
