Out-of-Scope
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing research, analysis and reporting for various claims initiatives. In this role you will collect and maintain a large amount of claims related statistical information and make recommendations and guide effective decision making. You will also provide internal control management for all claims processes.
Key Accountabilities

Program and Policy Development
Researches and analyzes complex claims related business projects.
Identifies new business requirements and potential source data systems.
Develops and provides complex queries on data to identify key performance indicators and metrics and links the analysis and insights to results.
Analyzes report data to uncover previously unknown patterns and use the data to support program or policy implementation and/or change.
Claims Management
Monitors performance of internal claims processes and external business partners using key performance indicators.
Monitors and reviews current claims reports and develops effective and consistent reporting tools.
Performs ad hoc report development (Infomaker, SAS, BI, etc.) for Claims and external business partners.
Prepares and presents recommendations to claims management.
Provides casual user training and dashboard user support for the Business Intelligence environment for Claims Management.
External Relationships
Liaises with Claims, Corporate Business Intelligence Services and external business partners on research and analysis requirements.

Enables the success of programs and policies that are in alignment with corporate and divisional strategies.
Manages risk in area of authority.
Ensures that the Health, Safety and Emergency Management Policy is applied in area of responsibility.
Education and Experience
A degree in computer science, business administration, or commerce.
Five years’ experience in applicable area.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of research and analytical techniques.
Knowledge of financial analysis methods and tools.
Knowledge of business processes and internal controls and how they interact to support corporate operations.
Knowledge of the services provided by the claims.
Knowledge of the insurance industry.
Skill in applying quantitative and analytical techniques to make data driven decisions.
