The team is involved in over 100 initiatives annually, and is delivering significant value-for-money and enhanced services to the citizens of New Brunswick in subject areas such as health services, economic development, organizational design, cannabis, infrastructure, public safety, early learning and child care, and senior care. The team is seeking to create a list of qualified Senior Advisor candidates that have advanced business case development and/or financial analysis experience. Senior Advisors work on complex issues that require agility and adaptability. You will be tasked with finding the best ways to provide value-for-money for taxpayers, and you will have few typical days. Candidates must also be skilled, agile, outcomes-focused, highly-motivated, and positive-thinking. The Senior Advisor is responsible for client engagement, identifying opportunities, research and analysis, project management, group facilitation, business case development, and report writing. The Senior Advisor will engage and facilitate internal and external stakeholders to strategically, effectively and efficiently inform Government's decision-making process for program transformations and large-scale project investments.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor degree with a minimum of eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience. Candidates must also have demonstrated experience completing complex business cases and/or financial analyses.

Subject to the response to this competition, an equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered.

Some positions require written and spoken competence in English only, while others may require written and spoken competence in English and French. Please state your language capability and ensure that preferred language for assessment is identified on your resume.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS:

Preference may be given to candidates who demonstrate experience and/or certification in one or more of the following:

  • Accounting or finance designation
  • Report writings
  • Project management
  • Management consulting, project finance and/or infrastructure advisory

Subject to the response to this competition, candidates may be required to demonstrate on their application one or more of the asset qualifications in addition to the essential qualifications in order to be given further consideration.
