About the Opportunity*

The Department of Medicine in Halifax is seeking three rheumatologists to join the medical community in the greater Halifax area. The successful candidates will participate in the delivery of rheumatologic care in a private practice setting with the potential for collaboration with the university-affiliated rheumatologists. The catchment area includes patients from across the province which allows for a wide referral base. This opportunity offers flexible work environment where the physician can work in a solo practice, co-located with family physicians or other specialists, etc.

Responsibilities

  • care for new and returning patients with rheumatologic conditions
  • work a full scope of practice as a rheumatologist
  • requires affiliation with the Central Zone of Nova Scotia Health Authority

Expected Hours

  • permanent, full-time
  • flexible working hours/day
  • negotiable call coverage

Qualifications

  • all applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
  • all specialists must be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC)
  • membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
