This posting is to fill a term/anticipatory permanent position (to 31 March 2023), working 75 hours bi-weekly. Temporary assignments and underfill hires may be considered.

This opportunity…
As a member of the Shared Technology Services (STS) team, the IT Support Technician reports to the Supervisor, Shared Technical Services, and provides front-line client-focused IT support. In this position, you must be adept at evaluating and triaging issues, responding quickly to maintain Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and expectations, and confidently interacting with internal support teams and stakeholders, ensuring appropriate expectations are set and met within our environment. To succeed in this role, you will be confident in your ability to effectively prioritize competing demands and maintain a broad, strategic perspective of how your work contributes to the success of your clients.

Essential Qualifications (what we’re looking for in your resume):
- Post-secondary diploma or certificate in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
- Experience providing technical support in a service desk environment
- Experience installing, maintaining and administering computer networks and related computing environments
- Experience in a Microsoft environment

- Ability to evaluate and triage issues and respond quickly to maintain expectations
- Ability to provide front-line client-focused IT support

- Ability to work in a team environment to deliver services or solutions
Conditions of Employment
Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence.
Job Requirements
Occasional travel within the Territory by both ground and air.
