We’re looking for a special someone with human spark to join our HR team. Working directly with our CEO and reporting to the Board of Directors, you will be made aware of our growth strategies and oversee all aspects of HR recruitment & operations in our fast-paced environment. You will be trained and coached on the unique aspects of our industry and then tasked with helping up shape the future team as we project growing from now 30 plus towards 100 plus within 2 years. We expect you to be capable of quickly identifying and recognizing the unique traits that make-up a successful salesperson, project manager and agent as you help us assemble our all-star team! You will serve as the first point of contact for on-boarding/off-boarding, supporting and resolving employee relations issues, implementing HR programs, policies and procedures, training & development and providing monthly/quarterly support for HR reporting and metrics.

  • Sending them private messages to ask them if they’re open for new opportunities at Dulcedo and scheduling them with CEO and/or Directors.
  • All Applicant Salary & Condition Negotiation on behalf of The Board.
  • All Staff Onboarding & Orientation & Basic Protocol Training.

Company Personnel Relations

  • Advise The Board on diverse employee and labour relations issues (i.e. performance management, attendance management, disability management, workplace investigations, employee exits) including compiling and preparing evidence to support appropriate recommendations.
  • Provide overall employee relations support to all staff inquiries regarding policies and procedures.
  • Field, investigative and resolve employee issues, concerns and complaints.
  • Provides assistance to the The Board with grievance and arbitration process; provides support for the negotiation process.
  • Ensures that the grievance activities are monitored and participates in the assessment of cases considered for reference to arbitration.
  • Performs thorough and effective grievance and complaint investigations to effectively resolve employee issues.
  • Maintain and foster relationships to enable collaboration with all levels of the organization ensuring a high level of customer service to all talents is provided.
  • Monitor employee engagement and retention and suggest recommendations to The Board where required.

Plan and administer The Group’s annual performance review process

  • Maintaining and administering The Group’s HR calendar so to have all staff on yearly review schedules (each staff has their own review date anniversary every year).
  • Inform every director of all upcoming personnel reviews which needeth be done.
  • First obtaining a budget for salary increases for each unit, subunit or individual staff from The Board.
  • Planning and scheduling all personnel yearly review meetings with their appropriate supervisors and also their raise/compensation/promotions presentation document.
  • Maintenance of personnel files and updating historical notes of all the personnel’s timeline records in The Group’s Master Record Book with all notes and important elements about them.

Training, wellness and development of workforce (to be implemented gradually)

  • Participates in the development and implementation of organizational programs and initiatives (with budgets).
  • Lead the Group Community Committee and administer its monthly budget.
  • Facilitate Human Resources training programs including Progressive Discipline, Coaching for Performance, Supervisory Leadership, etc.
  • Communicate and assist with the development of objectives for semi-annual and annual performance reviews.
  • Administer the weekly shoutout.
  • Track personnel birthdays and organize unit/subunit gifting.
  • Track personnel work anniversaries and highlight them with the support of the CEO and The Board.

Miscellaneous

  • Prepare and present a report for The Board on a weekly basis.
  • Manage various HR projects related to the HR strategy as assigned.
  • Travel may be required. (at the company’s expense).
  • Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual.
  • Improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field.
  • 5 or more years of experience in a general HR role.
  • You have gathered previous work experience as an HR Generalist, ideally in a start-up environment within the social media / marketing / media industry.
  • You are a proficient user of the newest technologies and software.
  • You are familiar with project-driven matrix organizations.
  • You have successfully recruited proactively (head hunting).
  • You have very good knowledge of employment law, tax law, social security law and the health insurance system in Quebec and Canada.
  • You demonstrate a positive “can do” attitude and a flexible approach.
  • You possess outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
  • You are absolutely reliable, can handle sensitive data and privacy issues with utmost care and discretion.
  • You have excellent French and English language skills, other languages are a plus.
