The Ministry of Energy and Resources develops, co-ordinates and implements policies and programs to promote the growth and responsible development of the province's natural resources industries.
The Lands and Mineral Tenure Branch is seeking a highly-motivated geologist to join a multi-disciplinary team of professionals in providing technical support for Crown mineral rights-related programs.
Reporting to the Manager, Geological Services, you will provide geological support for:
- Crown oil and gas and subsurface mineral rights public offerings;
- Tenure administration;
- non-advertised dispositions;
- Crown mineral trespass;
- Mineral rights ownership;
- Aboriginal land claims; and
- Crown Acquired mineral rights.
Typically, the knowledge and skills required for this position would have been gained through the completion of an undergraduate degree in geology supplemented by related experience in the exploration and development of oil and gas and subsurface mineral resources or an equivalent combination of education and experience. You will be registered or eligible to register in the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan.
