The role: Member Service Representative

As a Member Service Representative, you can expect to help Members with everything from bill payments and online/mobile banking support to more complex inquiries and investment needs. Using a variety of systems and tools, you will effectively respond to inquiries across our phone and digital channels and provide personalized advice to benefit our Members.

At Vancity, you’re empowered to assist Members in a meaningful way, every day! Our Member Services Centre is open 365 days per year and proud to be available to help members Monday – Saturday 8AM – 8PM and Sundays 10AM – 5:30PM.

There are part-time and full-time roles available. This role requires the successful candidate(s) to be able to work remotely and in office if needed.

We’re looking for candidates to join our January 2022 cohort! What does this mean? You and other talented individuals will be hired into the same role, at the same time! Being a part of a cohort, you will go through the 6-week training period together which will help foster strong relationships while sharing learned experiences and different ways of thinking!

A typical day would involve:

  • Deliver a high-quality service experience for a wide range of member transactions
  • Identify and assess member needs to deliver products & services to support their financial well-being.
  • Leverage and utilize our systems to ensure the service experience for our members is efficient and seamless.
  • Apply Vancity service standards, policies & procedures to meet compliance requirements and mitigate risk.

Qualifications:

  • A High School Diploma – At a minimum, you have graduated high school and/or equivalent.
  • Customer Service Experience – At least 1 year of working experience interacting with people and businesses in a professional capacity.
  • Ability to work remotely - You have a functional space to work effectively from home with high-speed internet access.
  • Must live in British Columbia - or relocate to BC if you do not currently reside in the province.

Bonus Points:

  • Post- secondary coursework.
  • Banking or call centre experience an asset.

The Team:

Member Service Representative reports to Team Manager, Member Care.
