Under the authority of the Distribution & Logistics Manager, the incumbent is responsible for:


Main responsibilities


Custom


  • Key person with our Customs broker for Canadian and American imports
  • Ensure that all documents used for export meet the Customs regulations
  • Make claims to government services for overpaid duties charges
  • Responsible for Customs audits
  • Track international shipments and preparation of relevant Customs documents.
  • Follow-up of compliance file of our products, country of origin, HS code and NAFTA
  • Responsible of staff training that uses custom forms, establishes procedures & prepare written work instructions
  • Ensure all communication systems in place with our freight and logistics partners are working properly
  • Monitoring Logistics Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Work closely with the Shipping Supervisor.

Freight


  • Coordinate international shipments in order to ensure better freight practices: costs and delays
  • Maintain contact with various freight carriers. Provide information for follow-up of shipments to internal customers
  • Work with our Indianapolis office to improve current logistics and freight practices
  • Coordinate claims for damaged or lost merchandise
  • Any other related task which could be associated with this position.

Requirements


  • Bilingualism French/English
  • Import/Export experience is required
  • Experience with Fedex and UPS software
  • Diploma in Logistics is essential
  • Dynamism, autonomy.
