Parléview’s Logistics & Support Coordinator will be a lead role assigned to a Client from government to plan, prepare and deploy a largescale event in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia from April 19 – May 25, 2022 (CONTRACT POSITION)

The role will operate with precision and professionalism, ensuring deadlines and critical paths are adhered to. As our Logistics & Support Coordinator, you will have above average organization and communication skills, as well as the ability to think quickly to resolve problems effectively. You handle logistical movements onsite at our events, shipping and import duties for all event materials, and support the health & safety operations onsite.

Position Role & Responsibility

· Responsible for monitoring and assessing hazardous and unsafe situations and developing measures to assure personnel safety an outdoor event

· Correct unsafe acts or conditions through the regular line of authority, and you may exercise emergency authority to prevent or stop unsafe acts when immediate action is required

· Have clear understanding of topics for safety coverage that may include guest accommodations, hospitality, transportation, logistics, group activities, the operation of equipment.

· Develop and/ or contribute to detailed plans for client review and approval that may include; objectives, requirements, logistics, brand and creative, accommodations and transportation, resources and training, shipping and customs, communications, health and safety, medical evacuation, site evacuation, security, environmental impact, registration management, budget, mitigation and risk analysis, schedules, floor plans, run of show.

· Manage (customs) import and export for all materials and shipment required to be onsite at the event

· Be part of an onsite team of Event Managers, Coordinators and Specialists to produce and deliver event project

· Contribute to the management of critical paths and workback schedule

· Participate in client communication

· Role requires Monday – Friday availability in Dartmouth, NS

· Minimum 3 years of experience in operations as it related to CANADIAN event activations

· Must have understanding and experience with various health and safety topics including: food and beverage, licensing, evacuation procedures, fire, assessment of foreign threats, security, and escalation to EMS

· Experience with international customs / trades an asset

· Outdoor events experience an asset

· Licenses and Certifications an asset and could include: Certificate in Advanced Safety Management, Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety Leadership, Fire Safety Certificate, Crowd Management Certificate, Working at Heights Certificate, First Aid & CPR, Elevated Work Platform, Forklift, Propane, Traffic Control, Propane, EMS

· Must hold a valid Passport and Drivers License

· Able to multi-task, work well under minimal supervision, and to function effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Contract length: 6 weeks
