This posting is to establish an eligibility list for future permanent and/or temporary vacancies.
This position may be based in any location with a BC Public Service Agency office: Kamloops, Nanaimo, Nelson, Prince George, Vancouver or Victoria.
This position is excluded from union membership.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Classification Services, this position is responsible for providing advice and guidance to clients and staff on classification related issues to ensure that HR legislation, policies, procedures, and best practices are consistently applied across the BC Public Service. The position also conducts classification reviews under the guidance of a Classification Specialist.

Job Requirements:
In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:

  • University degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or Social Sciences and a minimum of 1 year related experience as described below; OR
  • Diploma in Business Administration, Public Administration, or Social Sciences and a minimum of 3 years progressive, related experience as described below; OR
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
Related experience includes:
  • Experience conducting research and analysis, and/or interpreting and applying legislation, policies and procedures to customers within a unionized environment; AND
  • Experience providing excellent customer service, including managing conflict and customer expectations in accordance with service standards.

  • Preference may be given to applicants who have provided Human Resources, organizational design and job evaluation advice in a public sector/service environment.
