The Strategic Policy Initiatives Branch leads the development, implementation and evaluation of the ministry’s strategic policy agenda and B.C.’s poverty reduction strategy. The branch is responsible for the oversight of cross-government activities related to the government mandate of poverty reduction.

Job Requirements:
In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:
- A degree in public administration, business administration, law, economics, health, social sciences, or a related field; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- A minimum of 1 year (within the past 5 years) work, volunteer, or academic experience in each of the following:
- Experience in research and analysis.
- Experience providing advice and recommendations on policy, program or operational issues.
- Experience concisely and persuasively writing an array of documents and content.
- Experience planning and managing initiatives, projects, or project components.
- Preference may be given to candidates who have gained the above requirements through work experience.
- Preference may be given to candidates who identify as Indigenous (First Nations, Metis, Inuit).
