The Responsibilities

Planning and conducting audit and review procedures

Preparing and analyzing business financial statements and reports

Identifying opportunities to help business clients by providing advisory services

Preparing and reviewing corporate and personal tax returns for private business owners

Collaborating with other accounting staff and providing mentorship and team leadership

Education

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business administration

CPA designation considered an asset

An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered

Experience

3 - 5 years experience in public practice is preferred

Proven ability to recognize planning opportunities for individuals and their businesses

Knowledge and practical experience in Canadian tax– personal, corporate, excise

Advanced knowledge and practical experience in Canadian GAAPs – ASPE and ASNFPO

Software

Profile, Cantax, TaxPrep, Caseware/Caseview, Jazzit, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint

Eager to learn with a natural curiosity around the changes & trends in accounting
