New job Program Assistant, Assessment and Testing - 6 Month Term in Northwest Territories

As a Program Assistant, You will maintain communication and assist with meeting client needs in a fast paced environment, ensure the effective and efficient schedule coordination, information research, and system coordination. You will act with outside organizations to coordinate information and referrals according to the policies and procedures of the Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority (NTHSSA) and act to ensure that clients receive optimal care. You may be required to assist with other activities, such as scanning and linking documents to the Electronic Medical Records (EMR's).

Typically, the above qualifications would be attained by:

A high school / secondary school (Grade 12) diploma and,

• Medical Office Assistant diploma, OR,
• One (1) year experience in a medical or health care facility as a clinic assistant, along with successful completion of a Medical Terminology course.

Additional Requirements:

Proof of immunization in keeping with current public health practices.
