This is a full-time permanent position, working 75 hours bi-weekly.

The Corporate Policy Branch is a strong team of professionals that provides policy advice to departmental senior managers, the Minister and other decision makers to develop and attain the department’s strategic goals by:
- Undertaking research and analysis in support of policy, legislative and regulatory initiatives;
- Leading strategic planning initiatives;
- Drafting Cabinet submissions and other decision-making documents; and
- Coordinating departmental activities/materials to support the Minister.

Essential Qualifications
Please submit your resume clearly demonstrating how you meet the following qualifications. Please note selection for further consideration will be based solely on the information you provide in your resume.
- Completion of a degree or graduate studies;
- Experience planning, leading, coordinating and/or facilitating multi-staged projects where well developed analytical and writing skills are apparent;
- Experience providing advice and recommendations on complex subjects and issues;
- Experience developing policies, directives, and/or guidelines;
- Experience working on projects to develop new or amended regulations or legislation will be considered an asset; and
- Strategic planning experience will be considered an asset.
Candidates with an equivalent combination of education and experience may be equally considered.

Candidates should have, and may be assessed on, their:
- Ability to draft decision making documents and develop policy using clear language;
- Ability to think critically, analyze a broad variety of policy projects or research areas, and make reasoned recommendations;
- Strong organizational and planning skills;
- Ability to manage project work teams and work in a team environment;
- Ability to take initiative and work independently; and
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
