OVERVIEW

Guest Services Agents are passionate about customer service. They look to make our guests comfortable while away from home, whether they are traveling on business or for leisure. They have a keen intuition that allows them to anticipate needs and exceed expectations. These team members have excellent communication skills, can multi-task, are team-oriented, and work diligently to resolve issues

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  • Greet all guests in a timely, friendly and professional manner; and make reservations, determine guests’ reservation status
  • Ensure accuracy of all guest information during check in/out and safely and confidentially handle cash floats and/or any other forms of monetary transactions for guests
  • Oversee VIP guests, arrivals and departures and strictly adhere to confidentiality protocols
  • Promptly answer the switchboard in a friendly, caring and courteous manner
  • Be alert and respond to guest needs ensuring special requests are dealt with or channeled through to the appropriate department with documentation and follow up as required
  • Liaise with Housekeeping and Maintenance regarding the availability of rooms in order to contribute to the smooth running of the property and the satisfaction of all guests
  • Adhere to all matters relating to hygiene, health, safety and emergency procedures and always promote a safe work environment; also contribute to the security of the building, company assets and guest/co-worker safety with full adherence to security procedures with proper handling of keys/cash as appropriate to the position
  • Sell, process, and maintain all reservation records using Resort selling strategies
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge and track the types of rooms available as well as their location, layout, selling status, rates and benefits of all package plans
  • Be a “sales person” by active promotion of property facilities and company/property specific promotions in order to contribute to overall profitability
  • Balance all daily accounting transactions, including cashier audits and credit card postings
  • Run reports needed for statistical information and ensure accuracy

ATTRIBUTES & QUALIFICATIONS


  • Minimum 1 years experience in Hospitality/Guest Services/Customer Service
  • Extremely detailed oriented and organized
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – Can-Do Attitude
  • Creativity – think “Outside the Box”
  • Initiative – take ownership of the position
  • Punctual, reliable, flexible
  • Proficient in MS Office including Power Point & Excel
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
  • Flexible availability to work nights, days, evenings and weekends is required.

Wage: $17.50 per hour plus night rate of $2.00 per hour
