Position Overview

As a Relocation Specialist you will be responsible for assisting transferring employees with their relocation requirements. Welcomehome specializes in every facet of domestic, cross-border, and international relocations. Support provided to transferees can include rental accommodations searches, area orientations, government services, temporary accommodation searches, and any additional request by the client. Your role as a Relocation Specialist is to ensure the transferee receives the services authorized and to facilitate a smooth and stress free move. This will allow the employee to spend less time worrying about the move, and more time focusing on their new role. The ideal candidate for this role is enthusiastic, personable, organized, and possesses excellent customer service and communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

Rental Search

  • Contact relocating clients to assess their housing requirements and rental budget
  • Assist with finding accommodation based on the needs of the transferee
  • Research private listings, property managers, and enlist the assistance of a real estate agent, should it be required based on the budget
  • Accompany transferee to rental search appointments
  • Provide a value-added service that allows the transferee to be comfortable in making an informed decision about the home they choose to rent

City Orientation

  • Familiarize transferee with the destination location and areas requested
  • Make suggestions based on client lifestyle, budget etc. to ensure they are able to formulate informed housing and schooling decisions based on their lifestyle and budget

Settling-In

  • Assist with locating and securing fully furnished suites, condominiums or houses for short-term or temporary accommodations
  • Coordinate all appropriate government services authorized by the client
  • Coordinate other settling-in services as authorized by the client

Administrative

  • Research rental properties, temporary accommodations, and city amenities based on information provided by transferee and/or client
  • Provide timely reports, updates, and summaries to your Customer Service Representative

Lines of Communication

Internally, communicate with the Director of Operations, Operations Administrator, Initiations Team & Operations Coordinator, and Customer Service Coordinators to carry out assigned files. Externally, correspond with transferee to accomplish tasks authorized by the client for that transferee.

  • Must have a 4 door, late model car
  • Must be willing to obtain business insurance on his/her vehicle (minimum $2 million)
  • PC users, computer with a minimum of Windows 7
