Full Description

AECOM is hiring Pipeline Labourers to join the IOL Kearl project team on site near Fort McMurray, Alberta. This is a temporary role on a 14/14 shift schedule.

Pipeline Labourers perform various general construction activities such as:

+ Use of rigging equipment such as slings, shackles, chainfalls, etc.

+ Rig up spools, valves, blinds, etc. for removal and installation.

+ Working safely alongside mobile equipment such as telehandlers, mobile crane, etc.

+ Assisting Pipefitters with alignment and bolt up on 24” - 42” pipe.

+ Erect and take down skid piles.

+ Assist with stringing activities.

+ Manual material handling.

+ Operate hand and power tools.

+ Clean and prepare sites.

+ Perform spotting for various types of equipment as well as overhead powerlines.

+ Understanding and following AECOM's safety management system and core values.

_Conditions of Employment for this position are: _

1. For positions that fall into the list of required positions within the AECOM Oil & Gas Background Check policy, qualified applicants who are offered, and accept, the role must complete a satisfactory pre-employment Background Check. This may consist of all or a combination of the following: Canadian Criminal Record check, an Employment Verification and/or an Education and Accreditation Verification.

2. For positions that fall into the list of required positions within the AECOM Oil & Gas Alcohol & Drug (A&D) policy, qualified applicants who are offered, and accept, a position must provide evidence of a satisfactory Alcohol & Drug test in accordance with the Company's Alcohol & Drug Policy. In order to be valid, the test must have been conducted at the direction of AECOM - O&G Business Unit.

Minimum Requirements

+ Previous construction experience

+ Physical strength and stamina

+ Manual dexterity

+ Safety conscious attitude

+ Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS-09 or 2020) Certification

+ First Aid – Standard Level Certification

+ Valid Government Issued ID

+ Basic Rigging

Preferred Qualifications

+ Ability to work with others in a team

+ Ability to work at heights

+ Confined Space Entry Level 1 & 2
