Position Overview
140+ years in the industry means Aecon’s roots in construction and infrastructure development run deep. We have earned the position of the preferred contractor to numerous public entities and Public-Private Partnerships (P3s) across Canada and abroad. Our Construction segment includes all aspects of the construction of both public and private infrastructure in the Civil, Urban Transportation, Nuclear, Utility, and Conventional Industrial sectors. We operate primarily in Canada but selectively pursue International initiatives.

The Customer Service Representative will be responsible for performing general administrative and customer service duties, as well as requiring a thorough knowledge of the office policies and procedures. They will be responsible for credit card updates to customer accounts, opening of new accounts, maintenance of all accounts, processing monthly statements for mailing to commercial accounts, reconciliation of monies and accounts on a daily basis, and all other customer inquiries.

This role will begin on a 3-Month contract with the possibility of extension.

Key Responsibilities
  • Answer main switch board
  • Open, update and manage account files using on-line computerized system
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed correctly and accurately and all monies are accounted for with the daily customer activities.

  • Material handling

Required Knowledge and Experience
  • Experienced in the use of multiple line telephone system
  • Working knowledge of credit card and POS machine
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to deal with the public and remain composed
  • Proficient typing skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and time prioritisation.
  • Proficient within the MS Office Suite
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work under pressure in an open concept environment
  • Fluency in French is considered a strong asset
