New job Clerk, Accounting in Saskatchewan

Some duties you will be responsible for include: reviewing reconciliation errors, entering/approving suppliers in various systems, preparing daily bank deposits and other banking responsibilities, processing fraudulent and materially-altered cheques to ensure funds are returned to the ministry, processing the pay cycles for various benefit programs, processing void and stop payment requests, reviewing and processing Income Assistance requisitions for payment, and entering/verifying and updating banking information. You will also be responsible for assorted cover-off duties when other staff are absent such as preparation of invoices and processing accounting adjustments.

Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Procedures and software programs such as SWIN, Linkin, MIDAS, Business Central, MiCase, PeopleSoft, Approach, Outlook, and Excel.

Typically, the knowledge and skills required to be successful in this position would be obtained through a combination of some accounting/bookkeeping-related education combined with relevant experience.
