The Ministry of Social Services, Financial Services Branch is seeking a highly organized, responsible and efficient individual to work as an Accounts Receivable Collection Clerk, in the Accounts Receivable Collection Unit.

As an Accounts Receivable Collection Clerk, your duties will include responding to client inquiries by phone regarding collections through the Canada Revenue Agency Refund Set-Off program or collection letters for the Saskatchewan Assistance Plan and the Transitional Employment Allowance program. You will also respond to client inquiries with respect to the Saskatchewan Income Supplement and the Saskatchewan Supplement Program overpayment collection letters by phone. You will negotiate or establish a reasonable repayment arrangement with clients and follow up on repayment arrangements that have not been adhered to. You will refer client files back to the Canada Revenue Agency, Refund Set-Off program when all efforts in getting payments from the client continue to result in non-compliance. You will also manage the overpayments in the Linkin system for the Child and Family Program. The successful candidate will also be responsible for applying client payments from receipts and e-Transfer in various systems such as SWIN, Business Central/MiCase and the Saskatchewan Supplement Program and maintain client files.

Typically, the competencies required for this position would be obtained through training in office and/or administrative procedures, experience with Microsoft Word/Excel/Access and data bases. Preference will be given to candidates with experience serving the public in a call centre and/or collection environment.
