About Our Opportunity



Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced, team environment? If so, our Loan Assistant position may be the job for you! This role is responsible for the day-to-day preparation of documents for new and additional loans for Crown Lending Agencies.


Primary Accountabilities



You provide legal secretarial support to ensure successful, efficient and effective operations of a team oriented professional group. You make sure legal documentation is completed both timely and accurately as well as ensure quality standards are adhered to and correspondence, related to the placements of loans, are in place. This position also maintains information dealing with the client files, documentation and electronic information as well as establishes an efficient work schedule.


Qualifications and Experience



To be successful within this role, you will have successfully completed a one-year secretarial business course and have three years of related experience; or an equivalent combination or training and experience.


As the successful candidate you will maintain data systems as well as be proficient in the use of computers, with a specific focus in Word processing. You will have strong written communication especially in relation to letter and document writing. A good working knowledge of the general administrative aspects of an office is also required.


Knowledge of loan administration requirements, procedures to process, and secure loans is required as well as a good understanding of mortgages and other personal property security documentation. You must also possess a good working knowledge of loan procedures and internal controls.


The ability to meet imposed deadlines must be present as well as noticeable organizational attention to detail and communication skills.


A diploma from a post-secondary institution with a legal assistant/paralegal major and/or work experience as a legal assistant/paralegal would be considered an asset as well as public sector experience.

Pay Grade: CL 18

Salary Range: $1,579.09 - $1,766.79 Bi-Weekly
