A pool of qualified candidates will be established to staff similar positions with various official language proficiencies (such as Bilingual Imperative CBC/CBC or Bilingual Imperative CCC/CCC) and various tenures within Global Affairs Canada.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution, with acceptable specialization in education, social sciences, international relations, intercultural studies, international development or in any other field relevant to the work to be performed.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:
  • Recent* experience in delivering training to adult learners.
  • Experience in designing, managing and evaluating adult learning programs and projects using an Adult Education instructional design framework(s).
  • Experience in assessing individual and organizational learning and performance needs.
  • Experience in defining the scope, objectives and statement of work of projects and negotiating contractual arrangements with clients.
  • Experience working with current international assistance program / project management frameworks and methodologies (e.g. Results Based Management, Logic Models, Outcome Mapping, etc.).
  • Experience in the management of client relations with public, private or non-profit organizations that have an international focus.
  • Experience using current technologies for the design and implementation of virtual learning and/or distance education and training.

  • Recent is defined as having performed such tasks within the past five (5) years

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:
Masters degree from a recognized university, with acceptable specialization in education, social sciences, international relations, intercultural studies, international development or in any other field relevant to the work to be performed.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:
  • Experience in coordinating or managing intercultural learning programmes.
  • A minimum of three (3) consecutive months experience working and living outside of Canada in a cultural context that is not your own.
  • Experience in conducting research including research design, data collection and data analysis using basic qualitative and quantitative methods.
  • Experience in the facilitation of workshops and other forums involving a range of stakeholders for the purposes of decision making, work planning, lessons learned and other team functions.
  • Experience in the course management and/or facilitation of training in one or more of the following areas: Gender-Based Analysis +, Bias Awareness, Diversity and Inclusion, Anti-Racism, Results-based management, Intercultural effectiveness, International Assistance.

ABILITY:
  • Fluency in a language other than English or French.

  • Ability to apply project management systems and processes to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Ability to prepare clear and concise communications in writing.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
