The Lethbridge Police Service is currently accepting applications for a full-time permanent Caretaker. We are looking for a results-oriented team member who demonstrates professionalism and is committed to providing exemplary public service. You will be responsible and ensuring peak cleanliness for a variety of cleaning duties inside and outside Lethbridge Police Service Buildings. Move/assemble furniture, monitor contractors, light bulb changing, minor maintenance work to be completed and any job-related duties.

As a caretaker, you will:

  • How do I work effectively with police personnel?
  • Ability to communicate effectively, understand verbal and written instructions.
  • In a minimally supervised environment, be self-directed.
  • must have knowledge of approved cleaning techniques and procedures.
  • Demonstrate the ability to use cleaning machines and equipment.
  • Do you need the ability to perform strenuous physical tasks?

As a successful candidate, you will have:

  • A grade 12 education is preferred, supplementary experience will be considered.
  • Strong independent working skills
  • Can plan and organize one's own activities in a self-directed environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and sound judgment.

Wage: $29.10 per hour |2022 rate


Hours
: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

The successful candidate must consent to a police security clearance, which includes the voluntary completion and submission of personal disclosure forms (lifestyle questionnaire), criminal records check, and reference checking through a polygraph. '


STEPS OF HIRING PROCESS

  • Completing a psychometric assessment.

  • The successful applicants will be contacted for a descriptive behavioral interview.

  • The successful completion of a polygraph examination procedure (applicable to applicants outside the LPSE)

  • Verification of minimum three professional references: C

  • A successful candidate(s) will be selected and offered the position.

  • All components of the selection process will be administered, scored and evaluated in a fair and uniform manner.

  • The duration of the hiring process may take up to two months.
