DUTIES
Reporting to the Manager of Strategic Procurement, the successful applicant will be responsible for various duties in relation to recording receipt of goods and services in Banner Finance, expediting orders, returning of goods, and handling other receiving and inventory related issues. Duties include receiving goods/services in Banner Finance; verifying package contents in accordance with packing slips and purchase orders; collaboration with procurement staff to expedite expected deliveries; following up on backordered goods with vendors; assuming responsibility for returning unsatisfactory shipments or receiving replacements; contacting supplier or shipper if mistakes are identified with goods received; filing/scanning all documentation related to shipments, maintaining accurate records, and assisting in inventory control; assisting with the creation of commodity codes in Banner Finance; liaising with vendors; and performing other related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience (1-3) years in receiving, inventory control, or a related field; completion of a two-year business administration or secretarial science diploma; or any equivalent combination of experience and training. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and have exceptional interpersonal, organizational, time management, and customer service skills. Familiarization with, and competency in, Microsoft Office is required. Knowledge of University policies and procedures, Banner Finance, and OnBase would be considered assets.
SALARY $36,368 - $50,993 per annum (CUPE Local 1615)
